Recommended for 5-9 years
Castlefield Community Centre will be
hosting our fun program as usual these School Holidays!
Daily sessions include one or two themed activities of the day,
paper crafts/science experiments, painting,
games, drawing, activities, face painting, cooking,
a kids friendly movie, special guests & more!
XMAS WORKSHOPS 2024
17TH - 23RD DECEMBER
Please note, our Christmas sessions will run out of Room 1 at Castlefield, Not our usual childcare room.
DROP OFF PROGRAM
- Please bring a labelled lunchbox with packed lunch and a water bottle with NO NUTS.
- Please make sure you send along appropriate clothing for indoor and outdoor weather, eg hat in summer, coat in winter.
- We also tend to get messy! So please send either a spare change of clothes or something to cover up if wearing special clothing.
We provide art smocks.
TUES 17/12 SNOW DAY
Snow man crafts and sensory, we will make snow, have fun with our snow machine, make snowflake decorations for the tree and even make some snowmen out of marshmallows.
Christmas movie in the afternoon.
WED 18/12 XMAS CRAFTS
Today we are making 4 different decorations for the tree and we will have fun with some Christmas themed games and activities.
Christmas movie in the afternoon.
THURS 19/12 XMAS SCIENCE
We have four experiments to try including exploding snowmen!
Christmas movie to finish.
MON 23/12 MRS CLAUS
A super special day, Mrs Claus is coming to visit us and she's bringing with her some yummy cookies to decorate.
A fab last session before Xmas and a good opportunity for parents to get last minute Christmas gifts sorted without the kiddies!

TUES 14/1 TIE DYE BAGS
Today we are making tie dye bags! Tie dye is always a hit at Rokabye.
(bring your bags along next week to decorate with iron-ons)
WED 15/1 ICE CREAM DAY
Ice cream experiments, we are making ice cream in a bag and of course everyone will get to make and decorate their own ice cream cones.
Please notify us of allergies/dietary so we can accomodate or feel free to bring your own ice cream, cone and decoration ingredients.
THURS 16/1 GLAM DAY
Today will certainly be a hit, try out the new Rokabye Glitter Bar, get some glitter nails & hair and we will also have some glitter and sequin crafty fun!
TUES 21/1 IRON-ONS
Bring in your tie-dye bags from last week and/or start a new creation with fun iron on transfers!
WED 22/1 FLOWER POWER
We have some fun planting to do, cute flowers to take home along with some flower windmills to create.
Moana movie to finish (the new one if it's available)
23/1 WILD ROBOT DAY
We are going to watch The Wild Robot today and do some robot themed craft and activities to finish off the program for January.
